Sol-M® ENFit® Enteral Syringe

Enteral syringe for use with ENFit® Connection System is intended for the administration of enteral feed, water, and medications via an enteral feeding tube, and/or to aspirate from a feeding tube.

The ENFit® system is a new safety way to connect syringes to feeding tubes. It helps to prevent administration of enteral medication by the wrong route. It is designed according to ISO 80369-3 to be non-compatibile with Luer connection for parenteral administration or other small bore connections.

ENFit® enteral syringe includes the standard dose syringe and the low dose tip syringe.

The ENFit® syringe porfolio provides sizes: 1ml, 3ml, 5ml, 10 ml, 20 ml, 30 ml, and 60 ml.

The ENFit® connector does NOT allow connection to any standard luer hub/tip and is only compatible with other ENFIT® enteral devices, reducing the risk of misconnections.

The purple colour of the plunger provides easy differentiation from standard syringe and helps to recognize ENFIT® devices.

Intended use: The ENFit® Syringe is indicated for use as a dispenser, a measuring device and a fluid transfer device. It is used to deliver fluids into the body enterally. It is intended to be used in clinical or home care settings by users ranging from clinicians to laypersons (under the supervision of a clinician) in all age groups.

Cautions:

• Do not use the device after the expiration date.

• Do not use the device if the package is damaged. Use if the package is damaged may lead to infection or other illness/injury.

• If using a 1ml, 3 ml or 5ml syringe, tap out any extra fluid congregating in the tip for improved dosing accuracy.

• The ENFit connector is intended for enteral fluids only but has the potential to misconnect with small bore connectors of other healthcare applications.

• The ENFit® enteral syringe should be used with ENFit Connection System only.
